Flight Centre Content Migration Project
Flight Centre Travel Group (FLT) is one of the world’s largest travel retailers and corporate travel managers. The company, which is headquartered in Brisbane (Australia), has company-owned leisure and corporate travel businesses in 23 countries, spanning Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, Europe, the United Kingdom, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and Asia.
BruntWork provided a project cost solution for Flight Centre to migrate thousands of pages of online articles into a new content platform.
Due to the nature of the platform, each article needed to be manually recreated – a task requiring a large team of backend workers that could be trained on a custom CMS process quickly and complete the entire project within 25 business days.
Time to completion was a key component to the project’s success. The project cost was linked to agreed quality and speed performance KPIs.
BruntWork team supervisors and account managers kept Flight Centre’s management continually updated on progress and roadblocks encountered along the way to prevent unnecessary bottlenecks and minimise errors via an agreed QA process.
BruntWork’s team of workers successfully completed the project 12% faster than the highest KPI tier, all within agreed QA standards and benchmarks.
Due to the project’s success, additional work was requested from the team to complete further content migrations.
